Why We Invested in Amplifier Security

Despite the billions of dollars poured into cybersecurity infrastructure, security teams still struggle with the same manual, frustrating challenge: getting employees to follow through.

Whether it’s completing a patch, activating MFA, or following up on a security alert, this “last mile” problem — where policy meets user behavior — is one of the biggest ongoing gaps in the enterprise security stack. The workflows are fragmented, time-consuming, and deeply resistant to automation. Most teams manage it with a patchwork of spreadsheets, emails, and brute-force reminders.

At TechOperators, we believe this is not just a productivity problem — it’s a structural blind spot. It affects every company. And it’s growing.

A New Class of Automation

That’s why we’re excited to lead the $5.6M seed round in Amplifier Security, a company building one of the most thoughtful, focused applications of AI we’ve seen in enterprise cybersecurity.

Amplifier’s approach reframes the user not as the risk, but as a defender. The product leverages human-in-the-loop AI automation to engage employees directly — guiding them through tasks like patching, training, triaging suspicious activity, and other risk-reduction actions. Instead of treating user behavior as a security afterthought, Amplifier makes it a control surface.

At the core of this platform are two key innovations:

  • The User Security Graph, which creates a live view of user risk posture across endpoint, identity, vulnerability, and training data.

  • The AI Automation Studio, which lets security teams build dynamic engagement workflows — assigning, escalating, and tracking security actions with natural-language prompts.

Together, they provide a unified system for addressing the behavioral edge of enterprise security — something that, today, most teams still manage manually.

Why This Matters Now

Security teams are under immense pressure to do more with less — and many of the highest-value workflows remain manual, distributed, and brittle. Amplifier sits at the intersection of two long-term trends: the automation of enterprise security, and the operationalization of AI.

In the same way sales and marketing teams now automate outreach and feedback loops with intelligence and precision, security teams need the tools to do the same — especially at the “last mile,” where human behavior drives the majority of incidents. According to Verizon’s 2025 DBIR, over 68% of breaches continue to involve the human element — whether through error, misuse, or social engineering.

What’s missing in the enterprise stack is a purpose-built message bus between the security team and the end users — a system that notifies, guides, and confirms completion of critical security tasks in real time. Organizations have SOAR platforms, ticketing systems, and email — but none of them were designed to drive action from the people holding the devices, data, and access.

We believe AI’s real unlock for security isn’t just in detection — it’s in engagement. Amplifier’s application of AI is highly specific: personalized, persuasive, and contextual. It’s not replacing the analyst — it’s empowering the end user.

Betting on Founders Who Think Differently

We’ve known Amplifier’s co-founders Shreyas Sadalgi and Tommy Donnelly for years. They bring a rare combination of enterprise acumen, go-to-market clarity, and conviction around a space most of the industry has ignored for too long.

They’re not chasing the next simulation tool or training content marketplace.
They’re solving the core problem: how to drive real security outcomes by shifting user behavior in measurable, durable ways.

We’re proud to support Amplifier at this foundational stage — and to back a team that’s not just modernizing user-focused security, but reframing it entirely.
